Today, the “Tibet Almond Stick” is manufactured in a factory in Addison, Illinois, and shipped all over the world.
We take pride in our family business, as it has been handed down with the fourth generation now doing the production work.
Each and every Almond Stick is checked by hand to assure that our customers receive nothing less than a perfect product.
| Jill Golowach started working for Zenith Chemical Works after graduating from York Community High School, in Elmhurst Illinois, the town in which she was born and raised. Jill worked part time at Zenith while attending Elmhurst College where she studied music and elementary education. When the business relocated from Chicago to suburban Addison, Jill took a full time position with the company. Because of her interest in the company and valuable contributions, Jill was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. It soon became apparent that Jill was the natural successor to the position of President, the position held by her father, Kim.Jill embraces the challenge of being the fourth generation to run Zenith and welcomes the opportunity to grow and expand the company’s reach in the future. Being a wife and mother herself, Jill understands the needs of her customers and is excited to show them how the Tibet Almond Stick can help her customers renew, rather than replace, the wood items in their homes – an important option in these trying economic times.
In her spare time, Jill enjoys music, gardening, and spending time with her 16 month old grandson Malakai. |

James (Kim) MacInnes has been working at Zenith Chemical Works since 1962. He took over as President in 1964. The original factory was in Chicago, Illinois, in a building with the factory on the first floor and an apartment upstairs where Kim grew up. So he was very familiar with the Tibet Almond Stick at a young age.He served 4 years in the Navy before coming back to Chicago.
As the third generation to come into the family business, he has held the company together through many changes: The biggest change probably was in 1987 when he moved the business out of the city and into an industrial area in Addison. In Kim’s spare time, he enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his very large family-he has 15 grandchildren and a great-grandson. |
